Your Time is Important Too
Let’s face it. In our fast-paced society, being busy is almost always preferred. In direct selling, it’s even more difficult to find time for yourself when everything is go, go, go. As a WorldVentures™ Rep, you know first-hand the sense of urgency that comes with building a business. And, while competition is fierce, being spread too thin is dangerous. Over time, it could take a toll on both your mental and physical health. But how do you find the necessary time to rejuvenate, recharge and refresh while also ensuring you stay on track to meet your goals?
Stop the Guilt
Accept that you deserve to set aside time each day for yourself. Remind yourself that it is not selfish, but a necessary dimension of self-care. Don’t let guilt cloud your precious free time.
Spend Quality “Me Time”
It’s different for everyone. Maybe you choose to wake up early for some quiet time to read or mediate. A peaceful nap in a cold dark room might be at the top of your list, or an hour at the gym. However you decide to spend it, make sure it’s the type of rest you need, both mentally and physically.
Schedule It
Just like you would schedule an important meeting or appointment, put it on your calendar and make it a priority. Even setting aside 15 minutes before or after a presentation to clear your mind can be beneficial in the long-run.
Learn to Say “No”
Your time is treasured. Don’t waste it on things you that are unenjoyable. Instead, spend it doing what you love, value and brings you joy.
Stop wishing you had more time, and start making the commitment for your well-being today. You’ll be amazed at how dedicating a little bit of time to yourself can make you more focused and motivated to create joy for others.
