LTC Lesson of the Week #1: Don't Book Your Customers' Travel

It is important that you allow your customers to complete their own bookings from your LTC website. As an LTC you are not to be involved in the actual booking process, provide quotes, or contract vendors directly until you complete your training to become a Booking Travel Agent (BTA) or Travel Reservation Specialist (TRS). Once you have completed training you may then participate in all areas of support for your customer.

By activating your Rovia LTC website you agreed to the terms and conditions of Rovia and agreed to follow the procedures related to bookings and quote request. If for any reason you decide not to follow the procedure and you book on behalf of your customer from your LTC website, then you will be responsible for any errors and financial ramifications.

What this means is that you are financially liable if you book travel on behalf of your customer from your LTC website. And if you enter your customer's credit card to complete the booking you are taking responsibility for any related errors resulting in change fees, refunding tickets, etc. Your LTC website is an end-consumer website where your customer does the work and agrees to the terms and conditions related to their booking request. We strongly advise that you not put yourself in the position of financial liability. If your customer requires help, you can direct them to the chat service or complete the online Quote Request Form.

LTC Lesson of the Week #2: Use Advanced Search for Flights

When conducting an airline search and you or your customer cannot find a specific flight, make sure to narrow the search by activating "advanced search" and enter the specific airline, and time of their departure and return. By conducting the advanced search, more results will be displayed. If at that time the flight is still not found please activate chat and allow the TRS to find the specific flight.

Please remember that Southwest Airlines does not allow Rovia or any other provider to display their web-based fares. Therefore, all Southwest Airlines requests must be submitted via chat.

Sincerely,
The Rovia Team
