WorldVentures Opens Their Hearts -This Time For Haiti

WorldVentures, headquartered in Plano, Texas once again opened up their hearts and wallets and raised over $25,000 for the Haitian relief efforts. WorldVentures is an online travel company and host agency for home-based travel agents. An emerging leader in the leisure travel industry, WorldVentures is a privately held company based in Plano, Texas, with active representatives and members across the United States. The philanthropic company has repeatedly raised an enormous amount of money for several charities in the past and they continue their generosity despite a challenging economy, making "giving back to the community" a primary tenet of their business philosophy.

Since their inception, WorldVentures has maintained their business values and participated in philanthropic programs such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the North Texas Food Bank, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Sustainable Travel, Inc. They developed a discounted military program, and their sister company, Rovia, raised over $30,000 for the Iraq Stars organization, which is dedicated to providing plastic surgery to soldiers in need when they return from Iraq. Currently they are developing Voluntourism programs, creating charitable vacations or "DreamTrips" with organizations such as Manna Worldwide, and other humanitarian organizations so that those interested can volunteer a portion of their time and efforts while they are on vacation.

In support of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) organization, both Co-Founders CEO Mike Azcue and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) Wayne Nugent each have their own “little brothers” and regularly spend time with them. After a recent auction, the corporate office matched what funds were raised among the representatives and presented a check for over $136,000 to the worthwhile charity.

WorldVentures Co-Founder and CEO Mike Azcue commented, "Organizations such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the North Texas Food Bank, the Komen Foundation, etc. do an enormous amount of good within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and beyond. These organizations reach out each year to more and more people who have come upon hard times and are in need of their help. We are very proud and honored to be a part of such incredible organizations and we encourage everyone to get involved with these charities and others, to give back to the community in whatever way they can. What's unique about WorldVentures is that Wayne and I are co-creating this company with our staff and our Reps. We have such an amazing company culture and bond with our teams, and this incredibly generous group of our top leaders (the President's Advisory Council), are usually the eyes and ears as to which charities need our help next."

Co-Founder and CVO Wayne Nugent added, "At WorldVentures we are excited about the success we are having, especially considering these economic times. However, what we are most proud of is the generosity of our corporate staff and leaders. They have come together as a team to help those in need because they are genuinely interested in doing whatever they can to share their success with others and better other peoples' lives. It's truly amazing to experience their excitement in giving. We hope others will follow their lead in giving to these organizations and emergency relief efforts. Working with charitable organizations provides an excellent opportunity for all of us to grow. If everyone would take time out to give of either their time or financial resources, they would understand that the reward truly is in the giving. It brings out the best in all of us."
